Kinshasa, November 16th, 2022 (CPA), – The Congolese Federation of Association Football (FECOFA) announced on Tuesday the cancellation of the senior Leopards A’ course scheduled from November 14th to 21st in Turkey, through the media officer of this national team, Belinda Odia, in a post published in the platform of the Den of the Leopards. According to the source, the internship is canceled for organizational reasons without giving many other details. On the other hand, other stories speak of the insecurity in Turkey linked to an attack which caused the death of men. The countries with which the DRC should play in friendly, in particular Libya and Gambia having also canceled their internship in Turkey, the Congolese football umbrella body also did not find any interest in sending the Leopards. The manager of this national team, Dodo Landu Domo, confirmed this in a video published in the same channel. The trip to Turkey is certainly canceled, but the Leopards’ internship will continue on site in the country, said Belinda Odia, before indicating that the Leopards will regroup in Kinshasa under the leadership of their coach Otis Ngoma, who will be sanctioned by a friendly match against the Red Devils of Congo Brazzaville. The duel of two shores will be played back and forth on the dates to be fixed. As a reminder, the DRC is preparing the final phase of the 7th edition of the African Nations Championship (Chan), Algeria 2023, which will kick off in January. ACP/
